This is a 486 motherboard. The 486 can not accomadate EDO memory. You may, however, use 1 piece of memory at a time wheras with a 586 motherboard you must use memory in pairs. This is due to the fact that a 486 has a 32 bit DRAM bus and a 586 has a 64 bit DRAM bus. Each piece of 72 pin memory is 32 bit.
